Grayson Concrete Skatepark
Finally Charlotte gets a concrete skatepark! This park was designed very well by Chuck Powell. There are great lines and it has something for everyone. The concrete is really smooth, the coping is really nice, and the park is a decent size. There are a few ledges across 2 different pyramids, 2 hips, a rail going across and down, an 8 foot vert quarterpipe, a HUGE bowl from 5ft-11ft deep, and even a kids course. The park is well managed and there is always at least one worker outside making sure that people are following rules and that you are wearing pads. The park costs $1 per day, or you can pay monthly($20) or yearly(40$). You do need to wear a Helmet(with a strap), elbow pads, and they say kneepads but if you have on pants you should be fine. They won't let you get away with much because the park is so new, so you can't cut socks for elbow pads yet. Saturdays and Sundays get pretty crowded but during the week you shouldn't run into too many people. Remember that you need to have a Waiver signed by parents if you aren't 18.
